lovely stay near waterloo

i found free drinks in the fridge, including beers and soda waters. the breakfast was really the best i had on a hotel stay in england. toiletries, towels, and sheets were nice and comfy, i appreciated that. a hot shower was available and the double glazed windows really blocked the train noise at night.

my room was a bit too hot, it lacked air con, and the blinds did not block the window enough. this unfortunately affected my sleep. i also noticed a strange smell coming from the bathroom, a bit unsettling.

the breakfast room displayed paintings of the battle at waterloo on the ceiling. breakfast was lovely with a good variety. prices for food and drinks are great.

the hotel has double glazed windows, so you cannot hear the trains at night. location is fabulous near waterloo station. reception had a bar atmosphere.

staff provided good service during breakfast, very friendly. the staff was very nice . i was welcome to loiter after breakfast, despite the pub being closed.
